From Research to Results: The IU Health Brand Launch Journey

The theme for the 2011 PR Lifelines Luncheon is "From Research to Results: The IU Health Brand Launch Journey. Guest speakers include Holly Vonderheit and Sue Finkam both of Indiana University Health.

Holly Raver Vonderheit, APR, led internal and public relations efforts for the recent launch of the Indiana University Health brand. She first joined the organization as Manager of Marketing and Communications, overseeing marketing for Riley Hospital for Children, and was later promoted to Director of Communications & Public Relations. Currently an adjunct instructor for IUPUI's School of Journalism (public relations sequence), Holly has also taught healthcare marketing in IUPUI's SPEA graduate program.

Prior positions include Vice President of the Riley Children's Foundation as well as public relations roles with the Indianapolis Convention & Visitor's Association and Noble of Indiana. She began her career as a newspaper reporter and holds both a BA (Journalism) and MA (Public Relations) from Ball State University.

Sue Finkam, FACHE, serves as Director, Statewide Marketing for Indiana University Health. In this role, Sue works closely with a dozen IU Health hospitals to assist them with their marketing efforts and also serves to oversee corporate partnerships and events. She joined the organization in 2005 to serve as IU Health North Hospital's Manager of Marketing and Public Relations. She transferred to the corporate offices in 2008.

She began her career as an athletic trainer, became a board certified ergonomics consultant, ran a multi-state consulting business and has spent a great amount of her career in safety glasses and hard hats working with manufacturing and distribution. Sue has an undergraduate degree in sports medicine and a master's degree in management. She also served as an adjunct professor for four years at the University of Indianapolis, has written a newspaper column, a professional journal column and authored a textbook.

2011 Breakout Session Leader - Stephanie Tortorici of Edelman

Good news just keeps coming in regards to the 2011 PR Lifelines in Healthcare Conference on Thursday, April 7th, 2011. We have now secured our first Breakout Session Leader Stephanie Tortorici of Edelman. Stephanie is the Senior Vice President, Group Manager in the Health Division of Edelman's Chicago office.

She brings nearly 20 years of agency and corporate healthcare communications experience, with expertise in hospital and health systems, pharmaceutical, association and insurance. Stephanie provides strategic counsel and support around elevating health messages and significant medical announcements. She is also involved in program development, media relations, stakeholder engagement, consumer outreach, physician education and issues management.

Stephanie currently is leading communications for University Hospitals of Cleveland, St. Antony Hospital in Chicago, Merck's blockbuster vaccine GARDASIL and Humana. She also has lead work for the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

2011 Keynote Speaker - Gina Hayes of Edelman

The PR Lifelines Committee is proud to present the 2011 Keynote Speaker - Gina Hayes of Edelman. Gina is the Executive Vice President, General Manager of Health for Edelman's Chicago office.

Gina Rigozzi Hayes provides strategic communications counsel to a variety of organizations seeking to elevate a health-related message. Her clients have included pharmaceutical companies, health associations, public health organizations and consumer packaged goods companies, among others.

Gina and her team of 50+ professionals help clients across the healthcare spectrum optimize public engagement strategies. Some of her current clients include Abbott, Amylin-Lilly, Merck, Lundbeck, Pfizer, Wrigley, Sara Lee, Hologic, Merial and the American Medical Association.

We are very excited to have Gina as our 2011 Keynote Speaker for the PR Lifelines conference on Thursday, April 7 on the IUPUI campus.
